Week One

Week 1 was primarily a brainstorming and literature review week. No technical activities were completed. The motivation of the project was defined: to assist in teaching first and second graders to touch type while engaging them with colored lights. Research was done by examining articles and contacting elementary school teachers, who suggested project goals. Psychological journals were consulted on the specifics of learning in children with ADHD. Numerous blogs, websites, and item descriptions were analyzed for the purposes of determining keyboard compatibilities and the logistics of building a keyboard from scratch. All of this culminated in writing the first draft of the project proposal which then led to even more research. #GottaLearnItAll
